One People Tribe Hosts Community Day of Service at Norman C. King Center!
Join One People Tribe on Memorial Day for a special Community Day of Service at the Norman C. King Center. This event aims to uplift and beautify one of South Vallejo's hidden gems through a collective effort of community members.
Event Details:
Date: Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: Norman C. King Center, 545 Magazine Street, Vallejo CA
The day will kick off with volunteer registration and briefing at 10:00 AM. From 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, volunteers will participate in various clean-up activities, including litter pick-up, gardening, general cleaning inside/outside and beautification tasks to enhance the center's environment. Following the clean-up, a BBQ lunch will be provided from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, offering an opportunity for volunteers to relax, socialize, give feedback and enjoy a meal together. This is also a great opportunity for highschool students (parent permission required), to get last minute community service hours!!
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor work
- Reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen and a hat
- A positive attitude and willingness to help!
